William Oching is a professionalMining Engineer, with 12 years of Mining Industry Experience in Canada, and afaculty member at British Columbian Institute of Technology (BCIT). Prior tojoining  BCIT, William worked for anumber of world-class mining operations including Barrick & Teck Jointventure in Marathon Ontario, Falconbridge LTD (Now Glencore) in Timmins &Sudbury Ontario, Vale Sudbury Operations in Ontario, Cameco Corporation inSaskatchewan and Myra Falls Nyrstar operation in British Columbia. He heldpositions with increasing level of responsibilities in project management, mineventilation, planning, development, and operations.

William holds a Bachelor ofEngineering (BEng.) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LaurentianUniversity in Sudbury Ontario, Diploma in Water Engineering from KyambogoUniversity in Uganda and completed Certificate in Environmental and OccupationalHealth from the University Of Victoria, British Columbia. Currently, William teachesseveral courses at BCIT Mining and Mineral Resource Engineering Program:Underground Mining (MINE 3105), Mining Project (MINE 4110), Cost Estimation forMining Projects (MINE 6005), Mine Management and Occupational Health (MINE8005), and Underground Mine Design and Ventilation (MINE 6000).
