Ling Lai worked in the field of public health nursing for over 20 years prior to adopting a teaching career in nursing. In public health, Ling has taken on positions s a public health nurse working with postpartum families and preschool children. She also acquired extensive experience working with school aged children and youth, using population health strategies.Ling also worked as an educator, mentoring public health nurses, and as a prenatal coordinator, overseeing prenatal programs offered to antenatal clients. Ling is experienced in creating partnerships with community representatives, and focused on facilitating prevention and health promotion activities.Ling has taught nursing in post RN programs as well as baccalaureate programs. She specializes in teaching public health clinical, and community health theory.
