Robin Day began his career in accounting immediately following graduation from High School in 1977 and earned his designation as a Certified General Accountant in 1985. He worked in public accounting for several years before moving into the graphic arts industry where he progressed to the role of Controller and Manager of Information Systems. After 13 years in the graphic arts industry, Robin became National Manager of Finance and Administration for the WJS Group of Companies and held that position for five years before starting his own Information Technology Management Consulting company. During his time in industry, Robin established himself as a seminar leader, focusing primarily on Information Technology. In 2002, Robin began teaching at BCIT, focusing on computer accounting courses. He held the position of First-Year Program Head for eight years and also served as the department Timetabler for one year. The remainder of his time was spent in the classroom, teaching Introductory Accounting and Strategic Planning. In 2019, Robin became Associate Dean of the Accounting, Finance and Insurance department at BCIT and he continues to hold the position today.

Multiple articles published in CGA Magazine from ~1990 to 2010 including "Cyberguide", a regular monthly column focusing on Web sites and software for CGA members.
Robin loves the outdoors and spends his time camping with his wife Patricia, fly fishing, hiking and cycling. He is also an avid photographer and enjoys curling in the winter months.
