Tammy Bentz comes to BCIT from an acting, writing and producing/directing background as well as working as a Script Supervisor for a plethora of Film & TV, including the hit TV Series, SUPERNATURAL. She was Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of the internationally award winning full figure theatre company, writing, producing and performing the troupes highly acclaimed comedies –"way too blonde", "the 'f' word (can feminism be funny?)" and "Wumpa…an adventure"-- all over the world. In addition to her live performance, Tammy has appeared on the screen in many TV series and feature films as well as been heard on-air in various animation projects and commercials. Tammy has also instructed for The Vancouver Film School Full-Time Acting Program as well as The Vancouver Film School Film Production Program while she continues to coach/direct performers in her own studio.


As a Graduate from the Vancouver Playhouse Acting School with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, Tammy has performed in the majority of theatres across Western Canada. In addition, Tammy was selected as one of the 8 directors chosen across Canada to participate in the prestigious "Women In The Director’s Chair" Program through Creative Women Workshops at the Banff Centre, where she graduated with much success.


Tammy has written, produced and directed numerous short films and documentaries that have screened at various Film Festivals throughout Canada and the United States. She is currently in post production for her latest short film, "Revelation", as well as in development with numerous screenplays.


Special interests for Tammy include local politics and the environment. As well, she holds a keen passion for playing the piano, doing yoga and going running.
