work experience

Joel A. Hampson, CD, MASc, PEng, GMICE, LEED AP, is a senior engineer and has over thirty years of construction experience. Joel designs with wood, steel, reinforced concrete and other materials, and he is experienced with post-disaster building evaluation. He is a skilled field investigator and has repaired & retrofit buildings for seismic events, extreme weather, construction & design errors and vehicle impacts. Joel is a Natural Sciences and Research Council of Canada (NSERC) scholar; his area of research is structural engineering with wood. Joel is an Engineer with Heavy Urban Search and Rescue Task-Force 1, Engineering Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces and Faculty Instructor with the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
