What’s this area about?

Mobile telecommunications industries have high-tech components assembled from a complex mix of conductive and non-conductive materials that must stand up to rigorous consumer user habits and environments. Electronics fabrication is almost an industry within itself, as technicians, and some manufacturing and assembly personnel, require these highly specialized skills in order to build and maintain components as part of their job.

Why BCIT?

BCIT is one of the leading institutions offering high-tech soldering training in British Columbia. We offer many Part-time Studies (PTS) courses in this area. With many of our clients located too far away to take advantage of the one-class-per-week schedules typical of our PTS programming, we can modify any of our courses, and deliver them in a two-day, three-day, or five-day format.

What can BCIT offer?

We can provide customized shortened workshops at our Burnaby campus. Topics can include Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Thru Hole re-work and repair. Our clients include the RCMP.
