QPR for suicide prevention: you can save a life!
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), like CPR, is an emergency response that saves lives.
In this 90-minute session, you will learn how to:
- Recognize someone at risk for suicide
- Ask about potential suicidal intent
- Listen and persuade someone to seek help
- Access professional services on campus and in the community
Participants will have an opportunity to practice QPR skills and there will be time for Q&A at the end of the session.
This workshop is open to all BCIT students, staff, faculty and administrators, and is available to specific groups/schools/departments by request.
