Work Experience

Zaki is a civil engineer with 7 years of engineering work experience in various countries including Canada, South Korea, Singapore, and Germany. His work portfolio includes a diverse array of projects ranging from treatment system design, construction supervision and management of different types of water/wastewater treatment processes, national level guideline development for water distribution systems, engineering testing capacity building, and the development of innovative sanitation systems initiated by Gates Foundation. In these projects Zaki has acted as Program Manager, Key Client Account Manager, Proposal Lead, Designer, Design Evaluator, and QAQC Manager.

Zaki has expertise and interests in the area of engineering capacity building through applied education, as well as in water and wastewater treatment technologies, innovative sanitation systems, solid waste management and environmental sustainability management.
