Instructor, Civil Engineering
School of Construction and the Environment
Paul's work history in Civil Engineering started with 3 years with the Toronto Transit Commission as a construction inspector and design engineer followed by 7 years with Delcan Corporation Consulting Engineers as a site engineer and design engineer.
Moving back and forth between the construction site and the design office, Paul has gained an appreciation of the impacts that design decisions have on the finished product. These finished products include underground subway stations and streetcar lines as well as numerous municipal road and provincial highway projects.
Paul has also been responsible for contract document preparation, tendering and site administration for many of these projects and regularly draws on these experiences for classroom discussion and illustration of civil engineering concepts.
