Are you interested in reducing the time away from work to complete your apprenticeship technical training?
This pilot project in the following trades is designed for just that: Plumber, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter (Class B), and Gasfitter A.

In the traditional block release system employers must release apprentices and apprentices must leave the job, and in some cases their families, anywhere from 4 to10 weeks each year to attend technical training. For some apprentices and some employers, this creates hardship or barriers to completion.

With the support of the Government of Canada, BCIT is working to remove barriers to apprenticeship completion. This new exciting pilot program will reduce the amount of time an apprentice is required to be away from the jobsite.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Flexibility and Innovation in Apprenticeship Technical Training (FIATT) program.
