BCIT Forensics has partnered with the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (“EC-Council”), an accredited certification body, to offer access to certification courses in cybersecurity.
These courses are intended for law enforcement, working professionals, and investigators who require up-to-date training in network security, ethical hacking, and forensic hacking investigation. EC-Council certifications are widely recognized in the cybersecurity industry.
Developed and administered by EC-Council, the courses are completely online, complete with video lectures, virtual labs, and a voucher to complete the online certification exam.
Upon registration in the BCIT courses below, students receive a code for 12 months of access to the EC-Council materials and certification exam. Upon successful completion of the certification exam, students achieve certification through EC-Council. Students will not receive a grade from BCIT for these courses.
Please note: these courses are fully self-paced online, and do not include access to an instructor.
EC-Council was formed as the result of very disheartening research after the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. EC-Council's mission is to create information security training and certification programs to help the very community our connected economy would rely on to save them from a devastating cyber attack. With an ever-growing team of subject matter experts and InfoSec researchers, EC-Council continues to build various standards, certifications and training programs in the electronic commerce and information security space.
