The British Columbia Printing and Imaging Association (BCPIA) is a professional association which brings together companies within the print and imaging industry, as well as their suppliers and other special members.

It promotes advocacy for the industry and allows for networking and communication between members. The BCIT Business Consulting Project team was asked to look into specific symptoms experienced by the association:
Through the use of a survey, interviews, and cause and effect diagrams, the Business Consulting Project team determined two areas of focus: e-communication and membership pricing. The team developed three alternatives for each area, and scored them with a Decision Matrix created for each area. The highest scoring alternative in each area was chosen as the optimal solution, and recommended for implementation by BCPIA. The alternatives chosen as the optimal solutions were:
