Avalon Dairy has operated since 1906, the last six (6) years in their current location on North Fraser Way in Burnaby. Avalon Dairy’s main focus is the production of milk, cream, cottage cheese, yogurt, and ice cream in both conventional and organic products. In fact, Avalon is proud to be the first certified organic milk manufacturer in British Columbia.

The Project team used Value Stream Mapping, Process Charts, and Time Studies to determine the symptoms. The analysis identified symptoms such as inaccurate inventory levels, unmanaged inventory locations, product near / past expiry date, and slow customer turnaround time.
