Hazardous material spill at Marine Campus: April 17
At 12:00 pm today, April 17, a hazardous material spill occurred in the indoor pool located in Room 162 of the BCIT Marine Campus. There was no one in the pool at the time of the spill.
BCIT is working closely with authorities and the North Vancouver Fire Department to respond to the incident. The indoor pool has been closed off to prevent access while the spill is being addressed. Authorities have determined that there is no further health and safety risk on campus and classes and work at the Marine Campus continue as scheduled.
