Applied Research Liaison Office
As Research Liaison in ARLO, Joe Boyd helps coordinate ARLO services with BCIT’s Schools and Research Groups, and with external agencies, and is a member of several BCIT Institutional Committees: Institute Research Committee, Instructional Development Committee, International Mobility Fund Committee.
Joe also has a role as an a information analyst and story teller, tracking and reporting on BCIT applied research activities - projects, researchers, funding sponsors, industry research partners, and other research information, assisting researchers in identifying funding sources and developing successful research proposals, and managing BCIT applied research websites.
Prior to joining BCIT, Joe provided information and knowledge management services with AMEC and Ballard Power Systems, and has high school teaching experience in Nigeria and with the Cree School Board in Quebec. Joe has a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Toronto and a Masters degree in Library Studies from UBC.
