Test description

The mathematics test is designed to measure general mathematical competence. Basic principles of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and measurement are assessed. The test assesses the level of mathematical skills you would have learned in school or adult basic education classes, and provides a measure of your readiness to learn and use advanced math skills in trades training.

*Pass mark varies by program and is determined by the difficulty and volume of mathematics required in your trade program.

What to bring to the test

You will not be permitted to write the test without the required documents. Your test fee will be forfeited.

Note: No formula sheets are provided and you may not bring one to the test.

Note: No formula sheets are provided and you may not bring one to the test.

If you do not pass the re-write, you must wait a minimum of three months to re-write or show proof of completion of an appropriate upgrade course.
