On December 1, BCIT was delighted to host a forum called Sustainability and Jobs in the New Forest Economy.
Avrim Lazar, president and chief executive of the Forest Products Association of Canada, joined faculty, staff and students from the School of Construction and the Environment, School of Business and School of Manufacturing, Electronics and Industrial Processes to present a keynote address on the theme of "Climate Change and the Forest Industry: Canada’s Future in the Global Context." Joining Avrim at the speakers’ podium were two fellow presenters from the manufacturing sector, who play key roles in advancing the sustainability agenda at their respective firms.
