Trades Pre-entry Tests must be paid for in advance.
At the time of writing, you must present valid photo identification and receipt of payment to a test supervisor.
You will need a BCIT ID to sign up for a Pre-entry Test.
Please Note: If you are taking the test(s) at BCIT and will be paying by cash or cheque, you do not have to sign up online. Please pay the test fee(s) in advance at the BCIT Burnaby campus Building SW1 A (Campus Square Courtyard). After paying, please bring your receipt with you to the test.
If you live in the lower mainland, you can write the Pre-entry Test at BCIT.
Pre-entry Test sessions are held twice a week at the BCIT Burnaby campus, in the J.W. Inglis Building – NE01 340:
No appointment is necessary. We recommend you arrive early, as latecomers will not be permitted to enter the testing session once it has begun.
If you are a high school student, you can arrange to write the Trades Pre-Entry Test at your high school under the supervision of a teacher or counselor. Please make arrangements with a teacher or counselor before signing up for a test.
If you live outside of the lower mainland, you can arrange to write the Trades Pre-Entry Test at a location convenient to you. The Test can be written at a location outside of BCIT providing test conditions will be maintained to our satisfaction. Typically, you can write the test at your local college. You will need to arrange proper supervision and additional fees may apply.
