BCIT offers comprehensive training in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods within the School of Energy on a part-time studies basis (in week long or for some methods two week long daytime formats). All of the Nondestructive Testing courses are designed to meet the recommended training course guidelines of the Canadian Government Specifications Board (CGSB).
Courses will benefit students currently working in their chosen field who plan to fulfill the training portion of certification with the CGSB. The courses will also benefit students who plan to gain knowledge prior to entering the field of Nondestructive Testing (NDT).
Courses require that students have basic mathematical skills and some prior knowledge of materials and processes. Mathematical knowledge required includes how to use a calculator, manipulate formulae, and solve problems using trigonometry exponential functions. Please see online listings for MATH and ACES courses for suitable upgrading courses.
