Motorcycle technicians diagnose, repair, overhaul, and replace mechanical and electrical parts of motorcycles and all terrain vehicles.
This 20 week entry-level program is designed to provide you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform operations such as new unit assembly and full service; to rebuild engines and transmissions; to repair electrical components and chassis; and to service wheels, suspensions, final drives, and accessories.
After successfully completing this Motorcycle Technician Foundation program, you will receive credit for all levels of technical training requirements from the Industry Training Authority (ITA), and 300 hours credit towards your "time in trade."
Graduates of this program may seek employment as apprentices.
Employment opportunities exist in service departments at motorcycle dealerships, while some graduates enjoy owning and operating their own service and repair businesses.
