VENT 0100 - Starting Your Own Business
BCIT's Starting Your Own Business program is suitable for those who are interested in examining the possibility of starting their own business, or for those who have already started but realize the importance of having a business plan. This course covers entrepreneurial characteristics, developing a marketing strategy, conducting market research, operating your business, financial projections, risk reduction, business plan development and much more. Based on the successful Venture Program, which has been developed over the past twenty years, this condensed course concentrates on need-to-know, street-level information. At the end of the course, participants will have the information required to allow them to create a plan for their business which will be reviewed by members of the Peter Thomson Centre for Venture Development team at the BCIT School of Business.
