Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

Module 1 - Introduction and Trip Generation

  • Describe the various modes of transportation systems.
  • Describe current transportation issues.
  • Describe the transportation analysis and the sequential demand-forecasting models.
  • Describe the trip generation model and perform trip generation analysis.

Module 2 - Trip Distribution and Modal Choice

  • Describe and apply the trip distribution methodology as a part of the sequential-demand forecasting process.
  • Describe and apply the trip distribution methodology as a part of the sequential-demand forecasting process.
  • Describe and apply the gravity model.
  • Calibrate a Gravity Model.
  • Apply modal choice models in trip generation and distribution.
