TMGT 7111 - High Technology Marketing Strategies

This hands-on course will enable candidates to become knowledgeable about the various marketing strategies employed to create a successful market image for an organization. Drawing from industry examples of well-conceived and successful marketing strategies, students will gain a framework for developing viable strategies for their respective organizations. (1 Credit)

Note: This course forms part of the Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management degree program. You can proceed to register for this Instructor-Led Distance Education course. As part of this class, there are three one-hour interactive virtual classroom sessions conducted using Elluminate Live. These sessions will be on Saturdays from 10am to 11am on April 21st, May 12th and June 2nd, 2012. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: computer, access to Internet, cable, xDSL or faster. Dial up speeds may not be adequate for Power Point, VoIP conferencing and group presentations. MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point or equivalent, Web browser; Internet Explorer, Firefox or equivalent, Email client and an email address that can accept attachments. Access to a library, telephone conferencing or one of the many free or low cost VoIP conferencing services so your team can discuss material and possibly present remotely to other teams. A computer headset or VoIP phone will be required for computer conferencing. IMPORTANT COURSE MATERIAL INFORMATION: Your course material will no longer be available through the BCIT Bookstore. To obtain your course material, go to the following link: http://learn.bcit.ca/ Your Username will be your student ID (A00...), Your Password will be the same as your MyBCIT Password. Students MUST be registered into the course at least THREE DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COURSE. Access to the course material will then be ensured. If you register beyond the three days prior to the start of the course, you may experience a delay in accessing your course material.
