PUBW 2209 - Water Pump Station Operation and Maintenance

The course covers fundamentals of distribution and collection system hydraulics and system curves, pump electrical and controls, and operation of pump to suit a system curve. The student will develop a small distribution system and measure head loss to size a pump. Various types of pumps maintenance and pump components including impellers, packing shaft and seals will be discussed. Prerequisites: PUBW 1114
