COMP 0985 - Dental Office Insurance Billing Systems

This comprehensive course features advanced billing information with up to date front desk billing procedures currently being performed in today's dental office. Key elements are: all dental fee guides, insurance company rules and regulations, working with dual insurance claim forms and payment calculations. Students will also develop skills on how to effectively troubleshoot insurance payments and deal with treatment rejections. This course may be taken simultaneously with COMP 0285 and COMP 0885. A BCIT Statement of Completion is issued upon success in all three of these courses. Students may be eligible for continuing dental education credits as per the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Prerequisite: Dental office experience, completion of a Dental Receptionist or Dental Assisting program or currently enrolled in Comp 0885. (0 Credits)
