COMP 0417 - Java Games Development

This popular hands-on course introduces basic programming structures in Java. Using the free for use Sun Java Development kit (JDK), which includes the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), students explore Object Oriented programming, data types, control structures and learn to develop thier own simple Java applictaion games in 2-D. Topics include: game design, how to animate game objects, add multimedia and make games interactive using Java code..This material is suited for young people who are new to computer programming or who want to know more about Java. This course and or C#.NET Games Development will prepare students to progress to higher level courses in Open GL and XNA (Ages 13-15).
