This course introduces students to the principles of technical illustration that makes documents effective and attractive and teaches methods for producing vector and bitmap drawings used in technical documentation. Class time is spent working on assignments using Corel Graphics software. NOTE: Students do not need to submit transcripts for entrance to this course. BUT, in the case of formal or informal grade appeals or reviews they will be asked to show proof of their English requirement. (3.0 Credits)
Prerequisite(s)
Before taking this course, students must have completed their technical elective (COMP 18501 or COMP 20102 or COMP 23693). Students must also have one of the following English requirements, as well as intermediate word processing skills in the latest version of MS Word for Windows: 1) English 12 "C+" or equivalent (refer to www.bcit.ca/admission/upgrading/englishproficiency.shtml); or 2) COMM 00155 score of 70 or better.
