BMET 7104 - Human Factors Engineering in Health

This course covers the principles and applications of human factors engineering with focus in health. Through analyzing and evaluating medical technology and user requirements, this course will lead participants into exploring and applying human factor principles in design, evaluation, procurement, and management of medical technology in the healthcare environment. The course will continuously challenge the participants' ability in critically reviewing information and solving problems. Real-life examples and case studies are presented throughout the course. This is an online course using the internet for learning and communication. Prerequisite: A diploma in technology or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
