The Biology 12 Challenge Exam addresses topics related to the general principles of human body structure and function based on the British Columbia Biology 12 Curriculum. It covers material related to the chemical organization of the human body, DNA and its function, cells and membrane function, and the structure and function of the following organ systems: digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, renal / urinary and reproductive. This exam is offered to applicants to Programs in the BCIT School of Health Sciences requiring Biology 12 and is available from September to June at BCIT Test Centres or at an approved exam invigilation location elsewhere in Canada. Exam is designed for those well versed in the topics covered in BC Biology 12 curriculum and who previously scored a mark equivalent to or exceeding mark required by their program of choice. There are no study materials or instructor support provided in preparation for exam. Specific information regarding exam writing process will be emailed to students upon registration. Exam is available between April 8-July 6.
