Architectural Science
ARSC 8210 - Green Roof Technology

Course content will be introduced through a survey of the global and regional context for green roof implementation. Student research in construction and implementation of green roof technology will be applied in a course project. The project delivery will synthesize the landscape, architecture, structure, and mechanical and electrical systems. Case studies and student projects will facilitate evaluation of cost and the project's contribution to sustainable development. The BCIT Green Roofs Research Facility wil provide supporting learning resources and technology transfer. Prerequisites: ARSC 7200
