Costs of a BCIT education
Choosing the right post secondary school is a big investment in your child’s future. We’ve been there. To make it easier for you, here are the average costs of completing a degree at BCIT.
Average Program Costs
Program fees, including student activity and student health plan fees, are estimated as follows:
- Avg. cost per year for a 2 year diploma program - $5,270
- Avg. cost for a 3 to 6 month certificate program - $2,680
- Avg. cost for a 7 to 12 month certificate program - $5,160
- Avg. cost for apprenticeship training per 6 week in-class block - $750
- Avg. cost per year for a full-time degree program - $6,145

Total tuition for 2011-2012 full-time studies programs include:
- Student Services fee
- BCIT Student Association Extended Health & Dental Plan fee
- BCIT Student Association activity fee
- Learning Resource fee
- BCIT ID card fee
- Building fee
- U-Pass fee
- Capital Levy fee
Total tuition for Trades and Technical studies programs include tool deposit, lab or flying fee and coverall fee. Total fees for Technology programs include an optional co-op fee and a mandatory clinical and practicum fee.
