Media Relations strategy
The Media Relations team uses a number of communications tools to tell our story, from traditional news releases to the BCIT Update Blog. We'll work with you to detemine which is the right approach for your news story.
Our online experts database provides reporters with easy access to BCIT subject matter experts who can speak about a current issue or trend. If you would like to be included on this list, please contact Kelly Friday or Dave Pinton. All experts undergo basic media training, including interview training and a short orientation, before their information is made available to reporters.
If you would like individual or group training on how the media works, what to expect from reporters, or would like to test your interview skills in person or on camera, we can coordinate a session and tailor the topic to suit your needs. Please contact Dave Pinton or Kelly Friday to arrange your training session.
