The Writing Centre

The Writing Centre is pleased to offer free one-to-one writing support services to BCIT students. Our goal is to help students meet their academic needs by supporting the technical, business, and academic writing that is required in the classroom.

We are also happy to assist in areas such as ESL and citation.

To help students succeed, the Writing Centre offers :

• individual 25-minute consultations with a peer tutor  
• web and print resources
• access to language software soon to be available  

Any BCIT student can join us for help with course-related writing work: there are no prerequisites or registration procedures. Just book an appointment at the Library Service Desk and then drop by the Burnaby Library at the time of your booking. We’re in Room 207.

For help with cover letters and resumes, please refer to  Student Employment Services.

Note: We cannot provide proofreading or editing services but we can help with acquiring these skills.
