Key things to think about (Hint: judging criteria):

• Unique
  - Clearly explain how the idea is different from what is already on the market.
  
  
• Clarity/Comprehensive
  - No confusion and guess work from the judges.
  - The students have clearly identified the idea, the market, business case, technology needed, next steps to commercialize and have anchored it in fact.
  
  
• Pitch 
  - How strong and persuasive your written and oral (if you make the second round) presentation is.
  - How well you sell us your idea and vision. 
  
  
• Market potential
  - Have an understanding of the market the idea is targeted for.
  - Estimates (sourced) about the size, demographic of the market.
  - Understands what the need is of the target market.
  
  
• Business model/financial viability
  - Explained elements of their business model.
  - Effort into understanding the costs associated with their idea.
  
  
• Development Planning
  - Listed out and explained what is needed to move the idea closer to commercialization.
