BCIT requires individuals to fill, part-time Instructional Positions for delivery of part-time studies courses on a term-by-term basis. Specifically, we invite individuals to view web page http://www.bcit.ca/study/programs/7720acert to view program and course information.
BCIT Part-Time Studies runs three terms in twelve week blocks – April to June, September to December, and January to March. Classes are typically run in the evenings, from 6:45pm to 9:45pm, but there is some flexibility.
BCIT has built its reputation on the basis of hands-on, applied knowledge and theory; therefore the successful candidate must have a high level of comfort working with innovative and practical training tools that reflect current industry practice. Qualifications
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field of study
- Five years’ related experience in the Construction Industry
- Post-secondary teaching experience, or equivalent, is preferred
- Effective command of the English language – both written and oral
- Effective interpersonal skills and a strong desire to teach innovative programs
- Desire for ongoing professional development
- Ability to work within, and develop, a collegial environment
