BCIT requires a temporary, full-time, Instructor to join our Critical Care team in our Bachelor of Science, Specialty Nursing program.
This innovative curriculum is offered in a combination of distance, classroom and clinical courses throughout the province. We invite you to join our creative and committed team of educators.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive instructional duties, including classroom and clinical teaching
- Participate in curriculum development
- Support learning via distance education
- Design, develop, evaluate and revise print-based and online educational materials
- Ensure credibility of the program via input from Liaison committees, research and industry
- Actively participate in projects and initiatives in the Specialty Nursing Department
Qualifications
- Five years recent clinical experience in adult critical care nursing, including tertiary care experience
- Master’s degree or enrolment in a master’s program preferred (one degree must be in Nursing)
- Current CRNBC practicing license or eligible for registration
- Computer literacy
- Experience in nursing education
- Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy

Salary Range
$47,801 to $83,730 per annum (Placement based on education and experience; prorated based on percentage of appointment)
