As well, many health disciplines are beginning to require interprofessional strategies as part of their accreditation or approval processes. The School of Health Sciences (SOHS) is excited about the possibility of a new Health/Life Sciences Complex (H/LSC). Interprofessional practice will be the foundational component for our plans for the new complex.
IP-E2P involves learning with, from and about each other, and sharing different perspectives regarding safe, quality client care. As the importance of interprofessional education and practice is coming to the forefront, this proposed IP-E2P strategy will help to develop the education methodologies that advance the concept and practice of interprofessional teamwork in the BCIT-SOHS. The School of Health Sciences IP-E2P will be based on a competency based framework.
