SW1 Gateway Project

Project Background

In April, BCIT received $39.1 million in funding from the federal and provincial governments for the revitalization of the Burnaby Campus SW1 complex. The SW1 renewal project will bring expanded study and learning spaces for students, upgrades to classrooms and labs, as well as centralized student services and collaboration facilities to the Burnaby Campus.

Although separate from the proposed Health/Life Sciences Centre project situated along the Willingdon corridor, the two projects together will transform the face of the Burnaby Campus. The SW1 Gateway project will be the first to get started.

Project vision
