I See You and Raise You
The I See You and Raise You Campaign was inspired by the outstanding example set by our students through their first "Toon In" Give Change a Chance initiative, which raised funds to establish the BCIT Toon In Endowment for student bursaries.
Following the "Toon In" success, the BCIT community was invited to join together in a faculty and staff campaign to help more students through student bursaries and library resources.
The results
Thanks to all the faculty and staff who contributed, more than $11,500 has been raised since the campaign kicked off on February 23.
Half of the campaign proceeds went towards increasing the Toon In Endowment to $17,950. Interest from the endowment will forever provide to students in financial need. The remainder of the donations will be used to build library resources based on student need.
Together - students, faculty and staff demonstrated their powerful commitment to increasing access to education today and tomorrow.
A very special thank you also goes to our Campaign Champions, who helped to promote the campaign in their departments. Without their support, we wouldn't have delivered the message out to so many people, and raised desperately needed funds.
