Industry Connections

The School relies on many different avenues to ensure programs are kept current with technology and changes to industry. Ensuring that programs reflect the needs of industry and that our graduates have the best skills necessary requires constant consultation with industry. Each program within BCIT has a Program Advisory Committee which reviews the needs and requirements of industry in relation to our programs.

Many faculty members engage in applied research projects and professional development educational leaves to keep their knowledge and skills on the leading edge of their industry.

Programs which are accredited either provincially or nationally maintain continual contact with these accreditation bodies ensuring that standards are met.
