BCIT is committed to providing assistance to all its full- and part-time students with permanent or temporary disabilities. Examples of assistance may include:

• Exam and program accommodations
• Note-taking, scribes, readers
• Peer tutoring
• Alternate format textbooks
• Interpreting or transcribing
• Adaptive technology
• Funding and grant information
• Learning strategies support

Supporting documentation is needed in order for the Disability Resource Centre to recommend accommodations.

For a head start, download the Student Information Form [Word 2007, 745 KB]. When completed, e-mail to drc@bcit.ca, fax to 604-432-8839, or print and bring to the DRC in SW01 2360.

For students already approved for DRC exam accommodations, download the Exam Scheduling Request Form [Word 2007, 785 KB]. E-mail, fax, or bring to the DRC.

If you prefer, you can also complete the forms on paper by coming to the DRC office in person.
