You may have different types of interaction with an instructor, tutor, marker or other students in your distance or online learning course, depending on the type of course. Courses are generally classified as correspondence (COR), guided learning (GUI) or online (NET).
The amount of instruction in your course may also depend on the length of the course. Your course may be a term-based course (typically 12 to 13 weeks in length) or a continual-intake course in which you can register and start at any time and may have up to one year to complete.
If your course has an instructor, tutor, or marker, you can contact them by a variety of methods such as telephone, e-mail, fax or mail. If you live outside the Greater Vancouver area, you are given a toll-free number with which to contact your tutor, instructor or other program staff.
