CEPD 0101 - Career testing
Using a series of standardized tests, this eight-hour course helps you to identify your interests, values, and individual styles in order to develop a personal profile for career and lifestyle planning. Conducted by a professional counsellor.
CEPD 0102 - Career Search Workshop
Explore your career options! Complete a series of standardized tests and research occupations, current job market resources, and educational options to make better informed career decisions and plans. This twelve-hour course is conducted by a professional counsellor.

Trades exploration courses
Those looking to explore various options in the skilled trades before selecting a path can enroll in one of the following full-time courses:
These full-time programs prepare students to successfully enter and complete a trades training program at BCIT by introducing many trades and giving hands-on experience in some. Upon completion, students will be able to evaluate their suitability for working in the trades, determine which trade they wish to pursue, work safely in the shop and on a construction site, use hand and power tools, and be successful at BCIT. The General program is open to both women and men, while the trades discovery for women course is open only to women.
The trades discovery programs are full-time programs offered at various times throughout the year. Admission is based on a first-come, first-served wait-list.
