BCIT Dual credit Programs:
Trades foundation programs
BCIT currently has 200 high school students in 16 programs with school districts throughout the Lower Mainland and Kelowna. Students, who are either in grade 11 or 12, attend classes full time and their timetables are arranged so that they complete all graduation requirements. Upon successful BCIT program completion, students receive a BCIT certificate of Trades training, credits toward their Dogwood and credit for apprentice training.
BCIT has flexible delivery models including students who attend classes at their school district or our Burnaby campus. Hear what some of our dual credit students have to say about coming to the Burnaby campus.

Funding for Trades dual credit programs may be available to the high schools through the Industry Training Authority's ACE IT program. Contact the ITA for further information or visit their Ace IT program (youth) site.
Academic programs
While BCIT has traditionally focused on dual credit Trades programs we are now actively exploring academic opportunities with our School of Business and School of Computing and Academic Studies including dual credits, early acceptance programs and preferred entry.
