Health students gain knowledge of the human body and its functions, and how to protect it, examine it, care for it and heal it. They learn how to develop systems that prevent disease and injuries in our communities and workplaces. They also learn how to use advanced scientific knowledge and technology to diagnose and treat those diseases and injuries that weren't prevented.

Through training in health sciences, students develop skills in caring for and communicating with patients  and their families, using technology to conduct tests, performing analysis, administering treatment plans, monitoring and managing sophisticated technical equipment, and working with others to solve problems.
