Computing and Information Technology

Training in computing and information technology involves understanding and managing computer operations, helping people solve computer problems, or using technology to improve business operations.

There are three major areas of work and study in the computing and IT field: hardware/systems, software, and internet/web. With BCIT's programs, students develop skills in network design, administration, software programming and development, visual design, IT management, hardware repair, computing engineering for software and hardware, web development and applications, and user support.

Computing and information technology is an ideal field of study for those who are innovative and computer savvy, like to be the first to know everything about the latest in technology, would enjoy helping people solve their computer problems, or are interested in using technology to improve business operations.
