Application Process
General information
All applications are processed promptly and equitably. Applications are accepted for specific programs rather than general admission and, an applicant can only be considered for one program at a time.
Applications for full-time technology programs are handled differently than those for full-time trades programs.
- Applicants for most full-time technology programs are considered for a specific intake rather than being placed on an ongoing wait-list.
- Applicants for most trades, technical studies, and foundation training programs are processed on a wait-list system.
The title of a program will help you determine the type of program a student is interested in, and how his or her application will be processed. To find this information:
- Visit bcit.ca/study
- If you know the name of the program use the search bar to find the appropriate catalogue listing.
- If you don't know the name of the program browse a complete list or use the advanced search tool to help narrow your results.
Application processing periods
Applications are accepted and processed at various times throughout the year. Visit 'when to apply' for details.
