All Industry Services training programs can be enhanced for on-reserve delivery, or for off-reserve delivery involving full-Aboriginal cohorts. Industry Services promotes a model that involves local training, cultural support, social support, and academic support. The model (typically) involves an Aboriginal partner, a funder, an employer, and BCIT as the training provider. We prefer to travel to cohorts of students, as opposed to removing students from their families to study in the city. We have achieved immense success with this collaborative training model.
