TECHNICAL WRITER NEEDED

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility of the Technical Writer is to own the document suite for our products. The ideal candidate should be an organized thinker and experienced in writing technical user guides or product manuals keeping in mind client usability and simplified process flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create conceptual and procedural documentation for product end-users
  • Write tutorials and sample documentation for demonstrative purposes
  • Evaluate existing documentation and update or restructure as needed
  • Contribute to knowledge base

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Technical diploma/degree, or communications diploma/degree or equivalent
  • Ability to digest and consolidate vast amounts of highly technical information and translate them into easy to understand terms and documentation
  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills as well as strong interviewing and research skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years technical writing experience (editing manuals, creating online help, producing training guides, or other technical documentation)
  • Graphic design skills
  • Aptitude for public speaking and/or narration
