donabel santos - technologist and teacher

Donabel Santos is a graduate from the CST program who is passionate about new technologies and teaching. She currently works full time as IT Manager for Joule Microsystems Canada, where she supervises IT projects, designs databases and builds web applications.

As a student, Donabel earned the ‘BCIT Bachelor of Technology Achievement Award’ and the ‘BCIT Dean’s Award for the Bachelor of Technology in Computer Systems’ at the same time, a significant achievement.

Now as an instructor, her students say that Donabel’s courses are fun, and very helpful to their professional growth. With her industry certifications, Donabel was able to add certification preparation to both COMP 4663 Microsoft SQL Server and COMP 4661 MySQL. Never one to rest, Donabel is now successfully teaching COMP 1850 - Introduction to Web Development and Design as well at BCIT's Downtown Campus.
